FAQs

Orders

When will my order arrive?

Please allow 2-4 weeks for original paintings.

Prints ship out in 5-10 business days.

Can I track my order?

Absolutely! Once your order is shipped, you will be emailed a tracking number.

What is your return/exchange policy?

Because of the custom nature of all my items, I don't accept returns or exchanges. Prints are also made-to-order. However, I can provide wall mock-ups to help you feel confident before purchasing.

What if my order is damaged when it arrives?

For prints, I will happily resend you a replacement if it arrives damaged. For originals, I will discuss with the client case by case how we can work to replace it or provide a refund.

Shipping

How much is shipping?

All prints ship for a flat fee of $10 via USPS Priority.

Generally, originals include free shipping. Paintings up to 24"x36" will ship via USPS Priority Mail. Larger paintings will ship via UPS or FedEx Ground. However, if you prefer shipment via a specialized art courier and to have the painting delivered by crate, additional fees will be charged.

Where do you ship?

Currently, only within the US. However, if you are an international customer, please reach out and we can discuss possibilities.

The Art

Does the artwork come framed?

All my original paintings come in custom-made solid wood float frames meant to enhance the artwork. Hanging hardware is also included.

Prints come unframed so you can be free to choose your own frame.

What materials do you use in your original paintings?

Paintings are made using only archival, high-quality materials: archival canvas, oil pastels, professional level acrylic and oil paints

Is there a way to see how the artwork would look on my wall?

Yes! Just email eunice@byeunice.com with a photo of your wall and the title of the painting or print you are interested in. I will then send a mock-up of the painting on your wall for you.

Do you take commissions?

Yes, I'm happy to take a limited number of commissions as long as the commission is consistent with my style and subjects of interest, and there is free artistic license within the overall brief.

Why don't you sign your art on the front?

I've tried it both ways, and in the end, I prefer signing on the back of my originals and prints because I want the focus to be on the art itself. I want the art to draw you into its world (like the chalk drawings in the movie Mary Poppins! Hehe, high-five to you if you understand that reference).

Framing and Hanging

How should I frame my print?

I am painfully aware that my prints are not all standard framing sizes. My apologies. When I paint on canvas, I choose the dimensions that I prefer to paint on, and that doesn't always translate well to standard framing sizes. In order to have some of the prints fit standard sizes, the art would need to be cropped to a point that would unreasonably alter the original image. I'd like to do my best at making framing as painless as possible for you.

My personal preference is to frame my prints with a minimalistic natural wood frame with a clean single white mat board. I believe this allows the art to stand out. Prints come with a 0.5" border to make it easier to frame with a mat.

If you'd like a full-service method of framing, especially if custom sizes are needed, Framebridge.com was the highest recommended online framing service by The New York Times Wirecutter. You can mail in your print, choose your frame, customize your mat, and they will ship it to you ready to hang.

Levelframes.com can also provide this same service, but also offers the option of having just the frame shipped to you. Then you can insert the art into the frame yourself.

If you're okay with doing a little more DIY work, you can purchase a standard-sized frame from your retailer of choice (like Target, West Elm, Michaels, etc.) and order a custom mat from various Etsy sellers (like this one) where you can customize the mat to fit the frame as well as the size of the opening to fit your art. I personally prefer a margin of at least 2" all around the art.

Below I list the sizes of all the prints I offer along with the standard-sized frame you can purchase. Some of these will already come with the correct mat opening. However, if you need to order a custom mat, I include the mat opening you'd need to order. You'll notice that, basically, the mat opening is 0.25" smaller than the actual art to make it easier for the art to fill the opening.

  • 8"x10"Print: 11"x14" frame with a 7.75"x9.75" mat opening
  • 11"x14" Print: 16"x20" frame with a 10.75"x13.75" mat opening
  • 12"x16" Print: 16"x20" frame with an 11.75"x15.75" mat opening
  • 16"x20" Print: 20"x24" frame with a 15.75"x19.75" mat opening
  • 16"x24" Print: 20"x28" frame with a 15.75"x23.75" mat opening
  • 18"x24" Print: 22"x28" or 24"x30" frame with a 17.75"x23.75" mat opening
  • 20"x24" Print: 24"x28"or 24"x30" frame with a 19.75"x23.75" mat opening
  • 20"x32" Print: 24"x36" frame with a 19.75"x31.75" mat opening
  • 22"x28" Print: 27"x36" frame with a 21.75"x27.75" mat opening
  • 24"x30" Print: 30"x36" frame with a 23.75"x29.75" mat opening
  • 24"x32" Print: 28"x36" frame with a 23.75"x31.75" mat opening

Finally, if you are inserting the art yourself, I recommend taping it to the mat with framer's tape to avoid it shifting over time. You can click here to see the archival framer's tape I use.
